The Jubail International School is a member of the Al-Hussan network of schools, including its sister school Al-Hussan Academy in Al-Khobar. It opened in September 1999 and has KGI to grade 12 with students representing 18 nationalities. The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Education, General Administration, approves the school for expatriate education. The language of instruction is English. The Jubail International School is a university preparatory school educating students primarily for American, British, and Arab universities. The first graduating class, in 2002-2003, grade 12, completed course requirements for a high school diploma. Students at Jubail International School are prepared to take the American College Board Examinations (TOEFL, SAT I, SAT II, Advanced Placement) and the British IGCSE, 'A' Level and 'AS' Level examinations.

Teaching English in Saudi Arabia

The educational system in Saudi Arabia consists of 6 years of elementary school, 3 years of junior and 3 years of senior high school. In grades 1-3, the students learn to read and in grades 4-12, the students read for comprehension. At each grade level, the students use a reading textbook and students throughout the kingdom study the same reading textbooks and same reading curriculum. First the study will define the word identification, reading comprehension, product and process skills and reading stages. Then, it will describe the reading lesson design in each grade level and across the twelve textbooks (passages, exercises, lexical items, pictorial illustrations and so on). In addition, the word identification skills developed in grades 1-3, the reading comprehension skill levels developed in grades 4-12 (i.e., literal, inferential, appreciation and critical) and the reading process skills taught (identifying the organizational structure of the text, ability to derive the meaning of difficult words from context, anaphora comprehension and study skills) will be described. Results reported are based on an analysis of the reading comprehension questions and exercises and a list of word identification skills, reading comprehension skills, text structure, anaphora comprehension, contextual analysis and study skills.

KATE MIDDLETON

Kate Middleton is one of the most talked about women at the moment with her wedding to Prince William being predicted as the biggest of the century. Considering we are only 11 years into the 100 years which makes a century, its a big statment to make and William's poor brother Harry must be feeling pretty bad because what happens when he gets married if the best wedding of the century has already taken place, its a lot to live up to. I can see why people have been saying this though and it is because of Kate Middleton. She is so beautiful and has an amazing fashion sense.

OPI PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN COLLECTION.

In celebration of the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie "On Stranger Tides" (with the one and only Johnny Depp), OPI has realeased an amazing collection featuring beautiful colours with adorable names associating the colours to the movie.

This new collection reminds me a lot of the Shrek collection OPI came out with which has some of my all time favourite OPI colours in it.
